"A plague in the workhouse, a plague on the poor
Now I'll beat on my drum 'til I'm dead
Yesterday, a fever, tomorrow, St. Peter
I'll beat on my drum until then."

"But what melody will lead my lover from his bed?
What melody will see him in my arms again?"

"Set fire to foundation and burn out the station
You'll never get nothing of mine
The pane of my window will flicker and billow
I won't leave a stitching behind"

"But what melody will lead my lover from his bed?
What melody will see him in my arms again?"

"I'll sing of the walls of the well and the house at the top of the hill
I'll sing of the bottles of wine that we left on our old windowsill
I'll sing of the years you will spend getting sadder and older
Oh love, and the cold, the oncoming cold."

¡Oh amor!
Y el frío, el frío venidero.

La Mosca
William Blake (1757-1827)

Pequeña mosca,
tu jugueteó veraniego
fue truncado
por mi descuidada mano.

¿No soy yo
una mosca como tú?
¿O no eres tú
un hombre como yo?

Porque bailo
y bebo, y canto
hasta que alguna mano ciega
me barre el ala.

Si el pensamiento es vida,
fortaleza y aliento;
y la carencia
de pensamiento es muerte;

entonces yo soy
una mosca feliz,
ya vivo, ya muerto.

The fly
William Blake (1757-1827)

Little Fly,
Thy summer's play
My thoughtless hand
Has brushed away.

Am not I
A fly like thee?
Or art not thou
A man like me?

For I dance
And drink, and sing,
Till some blind hand
Shall brush my wing.

If thought is life
And strength and breath
And the want
Of thought is death;

Then am I
A happy fly,
If I live,
Or if I die.

Un árbol venenoso
William Blake (1757-1827)

Estaba enojado con mi amigo:
le manifesté mi ira, la ira terminó.
Estaba enojado con mi enemigo:
me quedé callado, y mi ira aumentó.

En el miedo la fui regando,
de noche y de día con mis lágrimas;
con sonrisas la fui asoleando,
y con sutiles y arteras estratagemas.

Así creció de día y de noche,
hasta volverse una brillante manzana;
y mi enemigo observó su brillo,
y supo que era mía,

y furtivo entró a mi jardín
cuando la noche envolvió al follaje.
Por la mañana satisfecho vi
a mi enemigo exánime bajo el árbol.

A poison tree
William Blake (1757-1827)

I was angry with my friend:
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I watered it in fears,
Night and morning with my tears;
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night,
Till it bore an apple bright.
And my foe beheld it shine.
And he knew that it was mine,

And into my garden stole
When the night had veiled the pole;
In the morning glad I see
My foe outstretched beneath the tree.

Paciente:
¿Eres realmente tan bueno como
todo el mundo piensa que eres?

House:
¿Tu realmente eres miserable...
..como todo el mundo piensa que eres?

Paciente:
Yo solamente quiero hacer algo que importe

House:
Nada importa

Paciente:
Y tu piensas que soy miserable.

House:
Si eres infeliz en el avión, salta.

Paciente:
Quiero saltar, pero...
no puedo

House:
Ese es el problema con las metáforas.
Necesitan interpretación.
Saltar del avión es estúpido.

Paciente:

Paciente:
Entonces ¿temes cambiar?

House:
No, tu temes cambiar.

"The Rain Song"
It is the springtime of my loving - the second season I am to know
You are the sunlight in my growing - so little warmth I've felt before.
It isn't hard to feel me glowing - I watched the fire that grew so low.

It is the summer of my smiles - flee from me Keepers of the Gloom.
Speak to me only with your eyes. It is to you I give this tune.
Ain't so hard to recognize - These things are clear to all from
time to time.

Talk Talk - I've felt the coldness of my winter
I never thought it would ever go. I cursed the gloom that set upon us...
But I know that I love you so

These are the seasons of emotion and like the winds they rise and fall
This is the wonder of devotion - I seek the torch we all must hold.
This is the mystery of the quotient - Upon us all a little rain must fall...It's just a little rain...

Pirenne looked after him and gritted through his teeth:
"That insufferable, dull-witted donkey! That-"
Hardin broke in: "Not at all. He's merely the product of his enviroment. He doesn't understand much except that 'I got a gun and you ain't"

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way—in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only."

A Tale of Two Cities
Book the First: "Recalled to Life"
Chapter 1: "The Period"
by Charles Dickens

Libro Primero: "El Resucitado"
Capítulo I: "La época"

Segundo axioma de la psicohistoria..
"that the population should remain in ignorance of the results of the application of psychohistorical analyses"
